Panorama Mountain Village

Location: Panorama Mountain Village, British Columbia

Finally catching up on some Canada pictures! Just taking a stroll around the bottom of the village around our little cabin. Luckily it wasn't that cold on this day, only -15 degree celsius instead of the previous -28! However I didn't last very long mostly due to remembering that there is a lurking coyote wandering around and my toes started freezing off after a while! Fortunately the only wildlife I did come across was a few little squirrels scurrying around a tree. They were so fast but they did stay still for a few seconds so I could take a few snaps! Also these pictures do not do this amazing place justice! It's breathtaking!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Washington DC Photo Diary

Location: Washington DC

This is an extremely late photo diary of mine and Lauren's trip to Washington DC, but I thought I would share a few things we did. We spent seven days in DC, and I can tell you that if you wanted to see everything, that many days is not enough! There are so many Smithsonian Museums and historical landmarks that we unfortunately didn't get around to seeing everything on my long, extensive to do list! However, a trip there next month may be on the agenda!
We decided that Georgetown would be our first stop and that was of course the best option! The main street in Georgetown is called M Street where we discovered the main shopping area. As if we didn't do enough shopping in New York! We also uncovered three cupcake places, which of course we had to explore! Baked and Wired is a must if your like us and love giant cupcakes! Sprinkles Cupcakes have some really good flavours and Georgetown Cupcakes just because your in Georgetown.
The subway looks like something from out of space but a pretty simple system to figure out. The Whitehouse was also a must because the President lives there of course.
To sum up the District of Columbia, I'd say it's an educational experience which I plan to go back to because I am a bit of a history nerd. That and they have good cupcakes!

Central Park, New York City

Location: New York City

I think I have found one of my most favourite places ever! Central Park in New York City is really the best of both worlds. Sitting right in the middle of an enormous concrete jungle, is a surprisingly serene and calm environment where you can let your mind wander and find inspiration. We picked a beautiful day to explore only a small portion of the park and sat for a picnic and people watching.

People watching can be the most fascinating exercise, especially in a city like New York. Depending on where you are walking in Central Park, the mixture of people is so interesting and varied. There is the tourist hippie couple taking photos laying down on the grass, the young couples with their babies, the international students making a short film which for some reason involves wrapping each other in a giant roll of bubble wrap around a tree. Then scattered in between is the personal training session and romantic picnic dates. We decided to venture further up the east side of Central Park where we finally ran into the typical Upper East Sider nannies and soccer Mums. Just a usual day in Central Park I suppose.

With so much to do and see in Central Park, there is a little corner for everyone to explore.
